Usually if a student is going to do something fun or out of the ordinary during the school year it might happen over Spring Break.
So your assignment over Spring Break 2014 is to shoot several Joiners.
The term 'Joiner' was coined by David Hockney.
Above is one of his early Joiners.
Your assignment is to shoot several  Joiners over Spring break.
Do some quick and easy online research to see how others have shot and created Joiners.
This is a fantastic 25 minutes section of a film made about Hockney's joiner process.

Process:
PHOTO 2:
  1. Select an interesting scene or subject.
  2. Digitally shoot the scene in the 'Joiner' tradition. 15 to 30 images. 
  3. Photo 2: Print the images at a Walgreens or CVS. Sizes that are good, 4x6 will work, but 3 1/2" x 5" or smaller might be best.
  4. Bring prints in Tuesday April 1, 2014. We will join them Wed, Thursday...
PHOTO 3:
  1. Select an interesting scene or subject.
  2. Digitally shoot the scene in the 'Joiner' tradition. 15 to 30 images. 
  3. Photo 3: Bring in Digital files to work with on Monday, March 31, 2014.
  4. Digital files will be transferred to computer to work in Photoshop.
  5. You will join them Tues, Wed, Thurs...
